Here are some ways you can actively participate in the school community and the PTA:
- Help with event organisation. The social events that contribute to the vibrant Peak School community wouldn’t happen without commitment and effort from dozens of willing volunteers. Please raise your hand if you are available to help out.
- Volunteer your skills and expertise. If you have skills or experience that may be of benefit to either the PTA or to the learning experience of the students, please get in touch. The parent community is a rich and valuable resource for the school.
- Volunteer as a class parent. Class parents provide a vital support and communication role between class teachers and the parent community. Speak to you child’s teacher at the start of each year if you are able to assist.
- Join the Executive Committee. Have a say in the running of the PTA and help with event organisation. All members are eligible to join. Please register your interest around the start of each school year. The formal election of positions takes place at the first AGM usually in October each year. The Committee meets monthly, as well as being active between reviews.
The PTA has started to formalise volunteer roles by having a register of VIP‘s (or Volunteers in Peak School) and their particular interests. There is a registration form below which you can fill in and return if you would like to become a Peak School VIP.
You can contact the PTA via Jackie To in the office, email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 2849 8376.
