Peak School’s latest newsletter is available to read now. Find out the latest news around the school and upcoming events.
I am continuously impressed and very proud of our children and staff and last night at St John’s was no exception. The children put on another special performance and it was terrific once again to see the hall full of parents, caregivers and loved ones. I do hope you enjoyed it.
We had 280 children participate this year which I believe is the most we have had, certainly in the 8 years I have been involved. My thanks to Jane, Amanda, Felix, Nicole and all the staff for supporting the children before and on the night. Can I also thank all the audience members last night who were very respectful of the fact we were guests at St John’s.
Sadly, we farewell Clarissa today as it is her official last day today. Clarissa has been with the school for 12 years. For over 8 years she was an EA and for the past 3 and a half years she has been our Office Manager. For many of you, your first impression of Peak School would have been meeting or talking with Clarissa. No doubt, this first impression was a strong one for you.
She has always spoken passionately about the school and has supported hundreds of families settle into Peak School. She will be missed a great deal by the school and on behalf of the Peak School community, I want to thank Clarissa for her significant contribution. A warm welcome to Susan Keating who has joined us as the new Office Manager and she has already spent the week with Clarissa as part of the handover.
We also welcome Cathy Yau to our office. Cathy has been with us for several weeks now but I did want to officially welcome her to the team. She is our new PTA administrator overseeing the buses and uniform. With close to 240 bus users, there is a strong chance you have communicated with Cathy already.
If I do not get a chance to see you before the end of term, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I do hope you manage to get time to spend with your child or children during their Christmas break. The children are looking very tired so the Christmas holiday comes at a very good time for everyone.
Thank you for your continued support.

There are some lovely little puppies waiting to be wrapped up in cosy towels this winter! They have set up a collection box outside Ms. Colet’s office.
Netball Club Round-Up
The netball season is now officially over but over the last three weeks all three teams have been busy participating in various tournaments. On Saturday, December 1st a select team participated in the HKPSSA Netball Tournament playing teams from all over Hong Kong. The team had a difficult start losing a number of games by 1 point but finished strongly winning its final game 6 -1.
Congratulations to the team for displaying excellent sportsmanship and determination in all their games.
The school entered two other netball teams that played in the ESF/International Island Schools Tournament on Wednesday, December 5th. Both teams played very well against various teams winning some, tying some and losing some. Congratulations to all the girls for improving significantly in their ability to find space and their excellent ball movement around the court.
The team would like to thank Mrs. Key for helping to coach them and for umpiring in numerous tournaments throughout the season.
Football Club Round-Up
What a fantastic season the Boys Football Club has had. Training every Thursday since August, the squad has improved in leaps and bounds and finished off the season by winning the ‘Shield ‘at the HKPSSA Football Championships. Congratulations to all the boys for their dedication and hard work.
