Peak School’s latest newsletter is available to read now. Find out the latest news around the school and upcoming events.
We come to the end of another successful and productive year at Peak School. Both IB and CIS described the school as glowing and were impressed with the high quality learning that took place every day in every classroom. They commended the staff, the parents and the School Council for creating a high performing school community for our children. I am continuously impressed by what our children do on a daily basis and it is an absolute pleasure and a privilege to lead Peak School.
A reminder that you can view the teacher placements for next year on my blog by clicking HERE. The children will be meeting their new teacher on Tuesday afternoon. Year 1, 3 and 5 move up in their current classrooms but Year 2 are mixed up as are Year 4 moving into Year 5. All our classrooms are kindly being refitted by ESF over the summer holiday so Year 2-6 will come back to brand new classrooms which is very exciting!
I would like to thank you all for your support this year and I wish all those families who are leaving the Peak School Community all the very best regardless of whether you are staying in Hong Kong or starting a new chapter in another country.
Have a wonderful relaxing summer and I do hope you get to spend time with your child/ren during their summer holiday.
2019-2020 Calendar and Important Dates of Term 1
For the last three months a number of very dedicated athletes have been training at the Kowloon
Cricket Club twice a week in preparation for the Aquathon season. Members of the team have trained in
the pool then quickly transitioned and ran 1 km. Rain or shine, hot or cold these athletes have worked
hard to improve their times.
The team has been involved in three races throughout the season. The first being the Island Schools
Aquathon held at the Chinese International School. The second was the HKPSSA Aquathon
Championships held at KGV and the third being the ESF Aquathon also held at KGV. Schools competed
against each other with each trying to record the lowest combined score (3 boys + 3 girls) to be the
overall champions. At each particular race there were between 25 and 32 teams. Regardless of the
weather participants pushed themselves to the max with many recording personal best times race after
race. Results between schools were very close at all the races with teams beating others by seconds.
Congratulations to the following members for an outstanding season: Anastasia Alevizos, Harry Hattam,
Ethan Lam, Tom Scapinello, Zachary Hull, Haze Leung, Dylan Chen, Savannah Key, Hayden Leung, Shina
Tamaki, Rhiannon Leung, Kaitlyn Yuen, Jemima Keys, Charles Kan and Fred Lam. The team would like to
thank all the parents and supporters that came to each race to cheer and encourage the team on and to
thank in particular Mr. Tamaki for being our official photographer.
